Peanut Butter Recall

If you have Peter Pan or Great Value peanut butter with a product code of 2111 on the lid, throw away the peanut butter, but save the lid for a refund. ConAgra Foods and the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) are investigating the link between salmonella contamination and peanut butter.

Send the lid to: ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 57078, Irvine, CA 92619-7078 along with your name and mailing address. If you have questions, call the 24-hour consumer hotline, 1-866-344-6970.

The full press release on the recall can be found on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Web site: http://www.fda.gov/bbs/topics/NEWS/2007/NEW01563.html.
