Information within this section of the Web site provides a wide array of resources for educational programs. The primary goal is to increase financial and consumer knowledge and skills of Pennsylvanians. Competency and confidence are two keys for financial stability and strength. Better Business Bureau Alerts
The Council of Better Business Bureaus (CBBB) posts warnings to notify consumers and businesses about recently discovered, fraudulent business scams. http://www.bbb.org/alerts/index.asp#National

Bureau of Public Debt
The BPD alerts consumers to scams seeking payment on fraudulent securities and helps consumers protect themselves from being taken in. http://www.publicdebt.treas.gov/cc/ccphony.htm

Coalition Against Insurance Fraud
The Coalition Against Insurance Fraud is the only national organization dedicated exclusively to fighting insurance fraud through public advocacy and public education. http://www.insurancefraud.org/

Consumer Sentinel
The Federal Trade Commission, in cooperation with other law enforcement all over the world, maintains the consumer fraud complaint database for this site as well as provides data analysis to identify fraud trends. http://www.consumer.gov/sentinel/index.html

Federal Communications Commission (FCC)
Consumer confusion has significantly contributed to the growth of slamming, cramming and other types of telecommunications fraud. Contact the FCC to learn how to avoid those unwanted telephone solicitations or to report other abusive techniques. http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/

Internet Fraud Complaint Center (IFCC)
The site provides victims of Internet fraud a convenient, easy-to-use reporting mechanism that alerts authorities of a suspected criminal or civil violation. The IFCC is a partnership between the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center. http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp

Medicare Fraud and Abuse
Medicare is taking strong action to combat fraud and abuse in key areas. Their goal is to make sure Medicare only does business with legitimate providers and suppliers who will provide Medicare beneficiaries with high quality services. http://www.medicare.gov/FraudAbuse/Overview.asp

National Check Fraud Center
The National Check Fraud Center provides check fraud information and takes reports from victims of check fraud crimes. Topics covered include counterfeit checks, forgery, check fraud, and bank fraud. http://www.ckfraud.org/

National Fraud Information Center
The comprehensive site covers all areas of fraud. Use this site to report or learn about fraudulent products, services, and companies. The National Fraud Information Center was begun in 1992 by the National Consumers League to fight telemarketing and internet fraud. http://www.fraud.org/

National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association
The National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association is an issue-based organization responsible for the detection, investigation, prosecution, and prevention of health care fraud. http://www.nhcaa.org/

Taxpayers Against Fraud
The site is sponsored by the False Claims Act Legal Center, a nonprofit public-interest organization dedicated to fighting fraud against the Federal Government. http://www.taf.org/

U.S. Postal Inspector's Employment Schemes
